Individual Therapy

Individual art therapy offers a personalised and clinically informed space to explore emotional and psychological wellbeing.
Sessions are grounded in evidence-based therapeutic approaches and adapted to meet each person’s unique needs.

Using a variety of art materials—such as paint, clay, collage, or drawing—clients are supported in expressing thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to articulate with words.

This creative process encourages reflection, builds emotional resilience, and deepens self-understanding in a safe and compassionate environment.

What to Expect When You Start Art Therapy

Where will I meet the art therapist?
Sessions take place in a private, uninterrupted space—such as an art room or meeting room—or online via platforms like Zoom.

Who will be there?
Depending on your needs, you may attend individual or group therapy:

  • Individual therapy involves just you and the art therapist.
  • Group therapy includes the therapist and a small group of participants.

Do I need to be good at art?
No art experience is required. Art therapy focuses on expression and emotional exploration, not artistic skill.

What happens in a session?
You’ll make art using materials that suit you—such as paint, clay, or collage—and may talk with the therapist during or after the process.
The therapist may observe, create alongside you, or engage in conversation, depending on your preferences. Together, you’ll reflect on the artwork and the emotions or experiences it brings up.
